I went to Root One Salon for the first time today and I couldn’t be happier. I have been searching for a new stylist for years and I can finally say my search is over. I saw Rose and she is amazing. I have very thick, semi curly hair and she spent over an hour cutting and styling it. She did a great job. But I can be hard to please because I know how fast my hair grows and how puffy it can look in a short amount of time. So I wanted shorter. She said if I could come back in half hour she would cut more off. I couldn’t return so she put me in her schedule for later in the week. It’s rare to find someone that is so understanding and willing to fit you into their schedule. My son liked me hair so much, he said he wanted me to make him an appointment with Rose.

First time going to this salon. Rose was great… I am 5 months pregnant and my hair was really struggling with dryness. She worked her magic and kept as much length as possible giving me very smooth and much healthier hair. I will definitely be returning and recommending.

OMG...Just got the most amazing haircut by Kim at Root One Hair Salon at their new location in Saugus on Central Street! It's been a good twenty years since I had a great cut.....Kim is amazing with the scissors and she accomplishes what she sets out to do upon discussion with YOU about YOUR HAIR!!! Jane Penta has done a wonderful job with the new salon …..all setup and ready for New Clients and welcoming old ones like me back!! Please give them a try and tell them Honey sent you!!! 5 Stars I am SO HAPPY!!! See you in 6 weeks Jane and Kim!!

I give Root One a 5-star review. I have been trying out a few different hair salons looking for a hair stylist who could give a new, updated look and Root One has ended my search. I went in looking rather drab and mousey and emerged looking like a new person. I work in a school and when I came in after being styled at Root One, every single person that saw me were amazed at the transformation. Thank you Root One.

I had issues with breaking out a lot lately and Annmarie was able to give me clues on what could be causing the breakouts. She gave me a facial and it was relaxing and explained what she was using at every step. I definitely noticed a difference after the facial as my skin looked so much better than when I walked in and so much brighter. Annmarie was able to recommend some home remedies and other products I could use to improve the breakouts. I definitely would recommend her if you’re looking for a clear face or just some relaxation time!

I walked into Roots 1, with a bunch of wants/hopes and a crazy time schedule to get these done. Jayne was more than accomodating my crazy schedule including allowing me to leave the salon mid treatment, with toner on my hair so I could do my kindergarten mid run. I am very pleased with how my hair looked when all is said and done! I highly recommend this peaceful, friendly salon. I will be back!

I had a foil done...loved it....but then I made an appointment for another... they offered a Sat...I asked for something before Sat so they asked if 5:30 pm on Thurs ok....I said yes. When I arrived...the 2 employees whispered...then tried to make me feel I had the wrong day...never will I go there again!

I called Jane on Sunday and asked her if i could come by for her to take a look at my hair that was completely botched my my long time hairdresser. I came to RootOne for my first bikini wax based on a recommendation and was very pleased. Both the receptionist and Laura were very kind and professional and made me feel comfortable. The room was clean and tidy and Laura introduced me to my options and explained how the waxing would go and what after care I needed and what to expect. She also walked me through the process and worked at my comfort level. I'll be back! Thank you, ladies.

First, I want to express that Jane greeted me so warmly and accommodated me as quickly as could be even though I was a walk-in. I am hoping to returning very soon in October for more wonderful services. It's a very nice salon and I love the fact that they do everything related to beauty ... They greated me nice and warm but they only problem was I didn't like the way Laura did my waxing... She's too fast and she thinks this is good to not feel the pain but IT IS ABSOLUTELY WEONG.. She was extremely rough and quick that didn't leave me anytime to breath ... I was happy at the beginning that I found a great salon but if she is the one who does the waxing I prefer to not go back.

I first made a phone call and got Jayne on the phone - Sunday afternoon, didn't expect anyone to answer but she did. I explained that I had a horrible experience at another salon and how I went to a second salon to fix it and they made it even worse! My short hair was a mess and there wasn't much left to make it better. My color was undescribable! Not only was Jayne calm and very sweet, she answered all my questions, made me feel very comforted, and offered to have me come right in. I did. Arriving at the salon I was warmly greeted by Jayne who welcomed me and gave me a tour of the salon, showing me their service areas, an unexpected courtesy. She talked to me at length, knew what I wanted and we proceeded to fix my cut and my color. Jayne fixed my hair - she gave me the cut I was looking for and fixed the color! I can't possibly describe to you how impressive it is to actually have someone do what you ask and not what they think you should have. The exact cut I described to her is what I got. The color fix is soft and beautiful! There is no way I would go anywhere else after this fabulous experience. A true hidden gem! My only regret is not knowing about this salon long ago. I would also like to point out that while I was there, a very little boy came in for his haircut. Most places I've seen with children did not do well. But here, you can feel the calmness, the patience, warm feelings and caring. This little boy I guarantee would not have made it through a haircut in any other place! And let me add one more kudo, the prices. I was incredibly surprised at how reasonable their services are and their products. I will certainly make this my go to place, pedicures, spray tan, spa treatments, even special products like Dermalogica. Easy access, plenty of parking and very accommodating - I can't say enough wonderful things about this place, only that I am so very fortunate to have found it! Everyone should go here!

I have had my hair treated by several stylists in the past, and that was the main reason that my hair was so processed, multi toned and slightly damaged. I was very pleased with Jayne's professionalism and expertise. Faith's color correction skills impressed me and she managed to foil and balayage my hair within a very impressive time frame. Today I visited the salon for the first time for a pedicure with Maryellen. She was fantastic!!!! I had an ingrown toenail and a few other areas of concern and she was gentle and professional in fixing my problem. She spends the time listening and addresses your specific concerns. She is patient., kind and caring and is very thorough. I have referred a friend already and I will continue to send people I know. I am very fussy when it comes to pedicures and she definitely passed my test.
